Top of the morning to you! It’s been a couple of weeks since my last weekly recap. My mom and stepdad left, and David and I went to San Bernardino. Once we were back, David’s stepdad visited for a day. Work picked up for both David and me, and our schedules clashed. The pandemic has changed my need for a “slow-paced” life. Before the pandemic, I thrived off having a busy schedule. Now, I crave solitude and silence.
I couldn’t believe my body’s response to the past two weeks. I was in a horrible mental space, immobile, with no appetite, and hollow. My body was begging me to take it easy and slow down. As a result, it shut down. Over the past couple of years, I have learned the importance of listening to what your mind, body, and soul is telling you. I gave myself the rest and space I needed.
I’ve spent a lot of time watching comfort shows, going on slow, mindful walks, hanging out at the beach with no distractions, napping, and doing things that genuinely restore my soul.
Now that I am in a much better headspace, my appetite has returned, and I’m ready to tackle the week!

📖 How to Get Out of a Cooking Rut
This article sits on my bookmarks bar. I turn to this list every time I have kitchen fatigue. I pick one helpful tip-off on the list and do it. Seriously, it is so helpful.
One of my favorite playlists to turn on when I am not feeling myself. It makes me feel like ‘the main character’ as I move through the day doing things that nurture my soul.
Beryl is on a mission to cook a dish from every country globally, and I am on a mission to watch her 🤣. Beryl’s videos are super inspirational and entertaining. Her videos have become a comfort watch for me.

*yes, everything is vegan. My daily intake varies depending on my mood and what I’m craving. I eat whatever I want when I want. This weekly food journal is for inspiration and entertainment purposes, not as a guide on what/how much to eat. Everyone’s needs are different :)
